Sophora japonica extract is obtained from the medicinal parts (flowers, buds, or fruits) of Styphnolobium japonicum (formerly Sophora japonica), a leguminous tree with significant pharmacological value. The extract is characterized by its high concentration of bioactive flavonoids, particularly rutin (up to 30%), quercetin, and sophoricoside, which underlie its therapeutic mechanisms.
